Every deal is verified winnable. Draw one for a calmer puzzle or draw three for the classic challenge.
How to play
Build tableau columns downward in alternating colors. Only a king may enter an empty column. Move each suit from ace through king to the four foundations. Tap the stock to draw; when it is empty, tap again to recycle the waste.
A hint that knows the difference between stuck and lost
Most solitaire hints point at any legal move. This board asks the same Rust solver that verified the deal, so it can explain a move on a winning line, prove that a choice has become a dead end, or honestly say the search budget was not enough.
Klondike by the numbers
Our solver played deals 1 to 1,200 all the way through, once on Draw 1 and once on Draw 3. It can see every face-down card, so these are the games a perfect player could win.
57 Draw 1 deals and 31 Draw 3 deals hit the search limit. We count those as unknown, not lost.
A study of one million deals under the same rules found 90.48% for Draw 1 and 81.95% for Draw 3. Blake and Gent, 2026
You cannot see face-down cards, so your real odds are lower. That is why every new deal here is one the solver has already won.
Draw 1 or Draw 3?
Draw 3 turns over three stock cards at a time and lets you play only the top one, so a card you need can stay buried until the waste shifts. Learn the board on Draw 1, then switch to Draw 3 when you want every pass through the stock to count.
